We attended an event there and only stayed for one night, even though I am from Mongolia. The staff treated me poorly because I was a local woman, making me feel like a stray dog. Having traveled to many countries, I have never had such a terrible experience at a hotel. This hotel requires significant improvements. It's best to forget the past and look forward. It felt like this place is still stuck in the Soviet era.

The Bayangol was a good introduction to Mongolia. Excellent location and being in a location that was walkable to attractions was important - Ulaan Baatar traffic is terrible. Plenty of options at breakfast. The room was a little worn but comfortable and it was fun to stay in a place that had echoes of the past.
